LS Global provides outsourcing services focused on improving business operations across international markets. For one of its clients, the company is hiring an Import, Trade and Compliance Manager. This position is responsible for directing the full import process, ensuring alignment with international trade rules, improving supply chain performance, and maintaining cost efficiency. The role also requires close coordination with suppliers, logistics partners, and internal teams to secure the timely arrival of goods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee freight forwarder (3PL) programs and organize related logistics operations.
- Provide support for import/export activities, including documentation and compliance obligations.
- Contribute to import planning and work in coordination with merchandising teams.
- Help create and implement strategies that improve supply chain workflows and overall efficiency.
- Assist with program rollout and ongoing improvement efforts.
- Ensure adherence to trade regulations, customs obligations, and clearance procedures.
- Review costs, pricing, and operational risks to inform business decisions.
- Sustain effective cooperation with internal departments and external partners through communication, reporting, and training.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field.
- Licensed Broker is considered an advantage.
- At least 5 years of experience, including background in retail, import operations, or global trade compliance.
- Excellent English communication skills at C1 level or above.
- Experience in developing and managing import programs.
- Familiarity with SLI, CI, IMDG, and classification processes.
- Experience supporting Free Trade Zones is preferred.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience using relevant software, systems, and technology platforms.
