The position is responsible for advanced accounting work, financial reporting, month-end closing, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial analysis, ensuring financial data is accurate and delivered on time. The role oversees allocated accounting processes, advances operational improvements, and advises colleagues to strengthen consistency, precision, and best practices throughout the Finance organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage designated portions of the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial-close cycle, including preparing and reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations, and related supporting records.
- Produce and assess complex account reconciliations, confirming that balances are correct, adequately documented, and resolved promptly.
- Assume responsibility for assigned balance-sheet and income-statement accounts, identifying risks, variances, and improvement opportunities in advance.
- Develop schedules, reporting packages, and financial analyses to enable precise internal and external financial reporting.
- Deliver relevant variance analyses and financial commentary that help management interpret business results and significant financial trends.
- Lead special analyses and ad hoc reporting requests through the collection, analysis, and interpretation of financial information and business trends.
- Work alongside cross-functional departments to investigate accounting matters, enhance processes, and maintain the correctness of financial information.
- Recognize and propose process enhancements, automation possibilities, and stronger controls to increase efficiency, accuracy, and scalability in the Accounting function.
- Act as a mentor, subject-matter resource, and example for accounting team members by sharing expertise, offering direction, and contributing to team development.
- Assist with audit work, compliance obligations, special projects, and other strategic initiatives while showing greater leadership and influence across the Accounting organization.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required; a Master's degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred.
- At least 5+ years of progressively responsible accounting experience is required.
- Excellent English communication ability at C1 level or above.
- Required experience in month-end close, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and financial analysis.
- Audit-support experience and involvement in process-improvement implementation are preferred.
- Solid understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.
- Advanced capabilities in account reconciliation, financial analysis, and Excel.
- Experience using ERP systems and financial-reporting tools.
- Strong focus on detail and dedication to accuracy.
- Capacity to handle several priorities while meeting deadlines.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Experience mentoring colleagues and contributing to process improvements.
