Financial Accountant – Microsoft Business Central & German Accounting Specialist(m/w/d)

The role is located in Fushe Kosove.

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of complete financial accounting and bookkeeping processes for German and Kosovar clients through Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, including its German localization functionality.
• Accurately enter and post business transactions, reconcile bank accounts, and oversee accounts payable and receivable workflows.
• Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports in line with German GAAP (HGB) and applicable local accounting standards.
• Assist with tax-compliance work, including VAT returns and preparation for German tax obligations, in close collaboration with clients or tax advisors.
• Carry out monthly and annual closing activities, covering accruals, provisions, and reconciliations.
• Review financial information, prepare management reporting, and contribute to controlling and decision-making activities.
• Maintain professional communication with clients and internal stakeholders in English and, preferably, German.
• Regularly seek ways to improve Business Central processes and workflows while supporting digital enhancements.
• Uphold proper bookkeeping principles (GoB/GoBD) and help compile documentation that is ready for audit review.

Candidate Profile

• Completed vocational qualification as Finanzbuchhalter/in, such as IHK, or hold a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Have a minimum of 3–5 years of practical experience in financial accounting or full-cycle bookkeeping, preferably serving international or German clients.
• Possess strong hands-on expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, including Financial Management modules, posting processes, and reporting; prior experience with the German localization is preferred.
• Demonstrate excellent business-fluent English skills, both written and spoken.
• Have very good German skills at least at B2 level, ideally C1, or extensive knowledge of German accounting and tax rules, including HGB, GoB/GoBD, and UStG/VAT.
• Familiarity with Kosovo accounting and tax regulations is considered an advantage.
• Show a high level of precision and dependability, strong analytical ability, and close attention to detail.
• Bring a proactive approach, the ability to work autonomously, teamwork skills, and strong communication abilities.
• Be prepared to continuously expand knowledge of Business Central and German accounting subjects.
