This opportunity is suited to someone with a strong interest in telecoms who performs well in a fast-moving and innovative setting. Babble is focused on becoming its customers’ most trusted advisor for cloud-based technologies and is seeking capable professionals to support that goal.
What will you be doing?
The Head of Customer PMO oversees the daily running of the Project Management function, making sure projects and orders are delivered reliably, on schedule, and with strong quality and customer satisfaction. The role involves practical leadership, coaching, and support for Project Management and Order Management resources, while also ensuring governance and delivery standards are followed consistently across the portfolio. This person also serves as an important escalation point for customers and internal stakeholders.
In close partnership with the Solutions Delivery Director and fellow managers, the Head of Customer PMO is also expected to advance continuous service improvement so that the delivery function keeps pace with changing customer and business requirements.
Accountabilities and Deliverables
Team Leadership & Resourcing
- Oversee the day-to-day work of the Project Management team, ensuring tasks are planned, prioritised, and delivered effectively.
- Support the Project Management function by leading, coaching, and guiding team members, while helping remove project obstacles when needed.
- Make sure new projects and orders are assigned to the most suitable Project Management or Order Management resource, taking into account workload, skills, and customer requirements.
- Foster team culture, morale, and collaboration across functions.
Governance & Delivery Standards
- Maintain a uniform delivery approach across all projects and orders by applying approved governance models and methodologies.
- Safeguard quality throughout the full delivery lifecycle, from project initiation to final closure.
Performance & Value Creation
- Lead WIP management, project delivery, and value creation across the portfolio.
- Oversee project and order SLAs and KPIs on an ongoing basis, ensuring performance is monitored and issues are addressed early.
Customer & Stakeholder Management
- Maintain customer satisfaction throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Serve as an escalation contact for customers as well as internal stakeholders, resolving issues in a timely and effective way.
- Partner with the Solutions Delivery Director and other managers to assess and carry out continuous service improvement initiatives across the delivery function.
Continual Service Improvement
- Collaborate with the Solutions Delivery Director and other managers to review and implement ongoing service improvement initiatives within the delivery function.
Key Business Relationships
- Solutions Delivery Director and peer delivery managers
- Project Management and Order Management teams
- Customers and account stakeholders
- Sales, Product, and technical delivery teams
Qualifications
- Experience in project management using Prince2, Agile, and Hybrid methodologies.
- Previous leadership or management experience within an MSP (Managed Service Provider) environment.
- Prior experience delivering projects involving cloud, ITaaS, Cybersecurity, UCaaS, networking (WAN / LAN), and multi-pillar solution delivery.
- Strong leadership and coaching capability, with the ability to guide and develop a delivery team.
- Confidence in managing SLAs, KPIs, and delivery performance across a portfolio of projects and orders.
- Confidence in leading a remote and distributed team.
- Excellent stakeholder management and escalation-handling skills, both externally with customers and internally.
