Job Description
About the role
Babble is developing a signal-led marketing system that identifies which accounts require action, which action is appropriate, and the right time to act. This position is responsible for the infrastructure that enables that system.
You will manage automation processes, data architecture, and platform integrations that link marketing and sales activity at scale. Working closely with the Demand Performance Manager, Revenue Operations, and Sales leadership, you will provide the technical connection between commercial goals and the practical realities of the systems.
This is a hands-on build position. The systems are still being developed, so you will spend as much time designing and configuring them as you do administering and maintaining them. The role suits someone motivated by these challenges, with technical curiosity and a structured approach to problem-solving.
Marketing expertise is not essential. What matters is an understanding of marketing and sales systems, clear thinking around data and logic, and the ability to communicate with non-technical colleagues. Mindset is valued more highly than the CV.
What you will be doing
Automation infrastructure
Take ownership of, and enhance, automation workflows supporting commercial activity in HubSpot and Salesforce, including workflow logic, sequence design, integration health, and platform setup.
Keep the automation layer dependable through suitable testing, monitoring, and escalation procedures.
Spot ways to minimise manual work across marketing and RevOps, then implement these improvements quickly.
Lead the Marketing Automation Coordinator by setting clear priorities and quality expectations.
Data architecture and CRM integration
Manage the data infrastructure linking marketing platforms with Salesforce, ensuring information remains clean, consistent, and usable.
Set and apply data standards for marketing inputs into CRM, covering lead classification, lifecycle-stage logic, and attribution-field governance.
Supervise the HubSpot-Salesforce integration and preserve data integrity throughout the marketing-to-sales process.
Signal scoring and intelligence
Assist with designing and building the customer and prospect signal-scoring model using behavioural, firmographic, and engagement data.
Support the customer-health model by combining signals from product use, engagement, tenure, and commercial data.
Help put next best action logic into operation so that the appropriate action is triggered for the appropriate account at the appropriate time.
As the model develops, assume greater responsibility for signal definitions and scoring logic alongside marketing and sales leadership.
Reporting and attribution
Create and maintain the marketing-attribution model, measuring how campaigns, channels, and signals contribute to pipeline and revenue.
Deliver forward-looking dashboards and reports on motion performance by customer tier.
Establish lead lifecycle stages, from initial signal capture to sales-ready handoff, and monitor conversion at every stage.
Commercial alignment
Serve as RevOps’ key technical partner for marketing-data, systems, and intelligence needs.
Collaborate with Sales and RevOps on pipeline targets, common reporting standards, and commercial governance.
Convert commercial needs into system logic, while explaining system limitations in actionable terms for stakeholders.
What we are looking for
Mindset and thinking style — this is the most important section
Understand how interconnected elements affect each other and naturally consider what may fail when something changes. You are a systems thinker.
Work confidently with data, logic, and structured problem-solving, choosing measurement over assumptions. You are analytically rigorous.
Learn new tools rapidly and enjoy exploring how platforms function beneath the surface. You are technologically curious.
Explain technical matters accurately to non-technical stakeholders, knowing when to simplify and when precision is necessary. You are a clear communicator.
Navigate uncertainty comfortably and continue making progress without a fully formed brief or step-by-step direction. You have a builder mentality.
Technical competence
Have a strong grasp of marketing-automation and CRM platforms, including workflow logic, data architecture, integration management, and reporting. Prior HubSpot or Salesforce experience is not required; a deep understanding of what these tool categories do and what good practice looks like is required.
Be comfortable cleaning, structuring, examining, and drawing conclusions from data.
Be able to create and configure automation workflows involving sequencing, triggers, conditional logic, and error handling.
Understand how marketing and sales data is connected between systems, including lead lifecycle, attribution, and pipeline contribution.
Communication and collaboration
Work as a true partner to marketing, sales, and RevOps rather than solely as a technical resource.
Present findings and recommendations confidently to senior stakeholders.
Operate comfortably across time zones and functions within a distributed team.
Experience — context, not a checklist
The focus is on your capabilities rather than the places where you gained them. Candidates from marketing technology, CRM administration, digital operations, RevOps, data analysis, or technical project management backgrounds are welcome. The key requirement is experience in settings where systems, data, and commercial results meet, together with accountability for making those elements function effectively.
Experience in a B2B technology or recurring revenue setting is beneficial but not mandatory. Marketing knowledge is advantageous rather than essential.
What success looks like
Within the first 90 days, you will understand the current HubSpot and Salesforce environment, identify the highest-priority gaps and quick wins, and begin establishing the data foundations needed by the signal model.
By six months, the automation infrastructure will operate reliably, the HubSpot-Salesforce integration will be clean, and a clear attribution framework will be established.
By twelve months, the signal-scoring model will be live and improving, next best action logic will drive commercial motions across the account base, and you will own the intelligence layer from end to end.
