Job Description

What are we looking for?

PECB is looking to hire a Translation Coordinator who will have a key role in overseeing and enabling the organization’s translation workflows.

About the position

This role involves planning, coordinating, and supervising translation projects and related activities across all languages officially offered by PECB. The position also includes preparing ISO standards in target languages, extracting glossaries for newly introduced schemes, and providing the necessary support to the Translation team and external contractors.

Main Responsibilities

• Organize, coordinate, and track all translation requests in every language by using Trados Studio, the company’s main Computer Assisted Translation (CAT) tool.
• Adjust to AI integration in translation and project management activities in order to improve efficiency and streamline workflows.
• Manage Jira requests connected to translation work and other document-related assignments.
• Offer support to the Translation team whenever needed.
• Keep the Zoho Projects platform updated for all assigned projects.
• Work together with external contractors to support the translation of documents.
• Detect applicable standards in the target language and make sure they are incorporated.
• Prepare and align documents so the translation process can be carried out effectively.
• Extract glossaries for newly launched projects and oversee the translation of glossary terms into the target language.
• Set priorities across tasks and projects in a way that supports deadlines and project needs.
• Maintain and encourage best practices within the department to ensure quality and consistency throughout translation processes.
• Carry out any additional responsibilities assigned by management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• English proficiency is required, while French and German are considered an advantage.
• Demonstrated experience in translation coordination, project management, or a comparable position.
• Knowledge of translation management systems and related software.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks with careful attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal abilities, including the capacity to collaborate with diverse teams.
• Flexibility and the ability to perform well in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
