Job Description

What are we looking for?

PECB is looking to hire a Translation Coordinator who will have a central role in organizing and supporting the company’s translation workflow.

About the position

This role involves planning, coordinating, and overseeing translation projects and related activities across all languages officially provided by PECB. The position also includes preparing ISO standards in target languages, extracting glossaries for new schemes, and offering support to the Translation team and external contractors when needed.

Main Responsibilities

  • Set up, coordinate, and track all translation requests in every language through Trados Studio, the company’s main Computer Assisted Translation (CAT) tool.
  • Adjust to AI integration in translation and project management activities in order to improve efficiency and streamline workflows.
  • Manage Jira requests connected to translation and other document-related assignments.
  • Support the Translation team whenever assistance is required.
  • Oversee the Zoho Projects platform for all assigned projects.
  • Work together with external contractors to enable document translation.
  • Determine the relevant standards in the target language and make sure they are incorporated properly.
  • Prepare and align documents so the translation process can be carried out efficiently.
  • Extract glossaries for newly launched projects and manage the translation of glossary terminology in the target language.
  • Organize priorities across tasks and projects to ensure deadlines and project needs are met.
  • Maintain and encourage best practices within the department to ensure consistency and quality throughout translation processes.
  • Carry out any additional responsibilities assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Fluency in English is required, while French and German are considered an advantage.
  • Demonstrated experience in translation coordination, project management, or a comparable position.
  • Knowledge of translation management systems and related software.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, combined with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to cooperate across diverse teams.
  • Flexibility and the ability to perform effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
  • A proactive mindset toward problem-solving and a strong commitment to meeting project deadlines.
