What are we looking for?
PECB is seeking a Territory Manager for Hungary to join the team. This opportunity is suited to someone enthusiastic about business development, market growth, and establishing lasting partnerships, while helping expand one of the leading organizations in the certification industry.
In this position, you will lead the commercial advancement of Hungary by expanding the partner network, assisting localization efforts, coordinating regional marketing actions, and reinforcing PECB's presence in the Hungarian market. You will cooperate closely with cross-functional teams so that products, services, and the partner ecosystem respond effectively to local market needs and support long-term business growth.
About the position
The Territory Manager for Hungary oversees commercial expansion and overall market development in Hungary. As the main owner of the territory, this role is responsible for creating new business opportunities, developing and supporting partners, coordinating localized marketing activities, checking the quality of translated training content, facilitating involvement in government funding and subsidy schemes, and acting as the main local contact for partners and end clients.
By connecting business development with market localization, this role helps position PECB's products and services in line with the specific demands of the assigned territory, while also deepening partner engagement and promoting sustainable growth and performance.
Main Responsibilities
- Create and carry out territory growth strategies that open new business opportunities and broaden PECB's footprint in Hungary.
- Identify, engage, onboard, and assist new partners while ensuring the onboarding process runs smoothly.
- Establish, maintain, and reinforce long-term partnerships with existing partners, offering continuous guidance and support to help them succeed.
- Act as the main contact for partners and end clients in the assigned territory, delivering first-level support and coordinating with internal teams when needed.
- Review and verify translations of training courses, examinations, and related materials to ensure language quality, consistency, and compliance with PECB standards.
- Detect relevant government subsidy schemes, funding options, and industry associations in the assigned territory, and coordinate PECB's applications and participation when applicable.
- Work with the Marketing Department to design and implement localized marketing campaigns that increase business growth and market visibility.
- Coordinate the creation and upkeep of localized regional web pages that present relevant training courses, partners, events, and territory-specific information.
- Prepare, organize, and coordinate regional webinars every two months for the assigned territory to promote PECB products, services, and partner engagement.
- Track market developments, competitor activity, customer expectations, and business opportunities, and provide management with regular market insights and recommendations.
- Produce and maintain reports related to territory performance, business development efforts, partner expansion, localization work, and market opportunities.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Product Development, Operations, and other internal teams to deliver territory-focused initiatives successfully.
- Make sure all activities are aligned with company policies, quality requirements, and applicable regulations.
- Carry out any other related duties assigned by management.
Requirements
- Full proficiency in English.
- Hungarian language proficiency is mandatory.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, International Relations, Economics, or another related field.
- Previous background in business development, account management, partner management, sales, market development, or a comparable commercial role is considered an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities, with the capacity to create strategic partnerships.
- Excellent organizational and project-coordination skills, with the ability to handle several priorities at the same time.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, together with a proactive and results-driven approach.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while also cooperating effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong commercial awareness and a customer-focused mindset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Readiness to travel internationally when necessary.
