Role Description

The Technical Director is a full-time, on-site role based in Tirana, responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of construction projects from planning through execution. This role includes leading multidisciplinary technical teams, coordinating project designs, and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. The Technical Director will collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and contractors to review technical specifications, optimize construction methods, and resolve technical issues on site. Daily tasks include monitoring project progress, validating technical documentation, supervising implementation of new technologies, and supporting research and development initiatives to improve processes and outcomes. The role also involves budget oversight for technical components, risk assessment, and reporting to senior leadership on technical performance and project status.

Qualifications

Strong team leadership and team management skills, with experience guiding multidisciplinary technical teams.
Proven project management abilities, including planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and risk mitigation.
Experience in research and development (R&D), with a focus on innovation in construction methods, materials, or technologies.
Background in software development or use of engineering and construction software tools (e.g., BIM, CAD, project management platforms) is an advantage.
Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related technical field; advanced qualifications are a plus.
Solid knowledge of construction standards, building codes, safety regulations, and quality assurance practices.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to handle complex technical challenges on site.
Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and interact with stakeholders at all levels.
Experience in large-scale residential or commercial projects is highly beneficial.
Ability to work full time on site in Tirana and manage multiple concurrent projects.
