General Minimum Requirements
- Excellent physical condition
- Valid driving license and ability to drive manual transmission
- Ability to cope with physical hardship, work extra hours, and operate in environments with limited infrastructure
Field of Expertise Requirements
- Work experience in public administration, international organisations, civic associations (including NGOs), political parties/affairs, or economic and political development
- Strong organizational, communication, analytical and interpersonal skills
Education & Experience
- Second-level university degree in political sciences, social sciences, international relations, public policy, law or a related field; a first-level degree plus two years of additional qualifying experience may be accepted instead
- Minimum 6 years of relevant, diversified and progressively responsible professional experience (8 years with a first-level degree), including at least 3 years at management level
Mission Specific Requirements – Mandatory
- International recruitment only: nationals and permanent residents of the duty station are not eligible, including candidates with multiple nationalities
- Progressively responsible experience in democratic governance, local governance, women's political participation, youth engagement, civil society development, dialogue facilitation or institutional reform, preferably in an international environment and/or field missions
- Demonstrated experience managing staff, budgets, donor-funded projects and complex partnerships
- Professional fluency in English with excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proven technical experience in gender-responsive governance, policy development, participatory decision-making and capacity development
