About the Role
In the AI Product Owner role, you will independently lead the technical side of client projects, working alongside the internal AI development team and an Account Manager. You will engage directly with clients from initial AI-project requirement collection—covering process automation through AI-native platforms—to implementation and go-live. Client acquisition, contract management, and account health remain the responsibility of the sales & account team.
Your Responsibilities
- Independently manage the technical ownership of an assigned project portfolio by assessing client needs and creating practical solution approaches, documented in a solution concept for each project.
- Take charge of delivering the project plan, including phases, milestones, and timelines, while managing the Weekly Progress Update process.
- Facilitate Discovery & Requirements sessions with clients and turn their input into a clear, build-ready scope.
- Set user stories, acceptance criteria, and priorities.
- Coordinate sprint planning and prioritization with the AI development team.
- Convert scope into work packages, manage and rank the backlog, and offer technical direction to the local development team.
- Maintain consistency between business goals and the technical solution.
- Track development against approved requirements and acceptance criteria, organize UAT with the client, and follow defects until they are resolved.
- Review work results technically and approve them according to the established standards.
- Serve as the client's technical contact throughout implementation, preparing weekly minutes and status reports.
- Conduct product demonstrations, reviews, and discussions with stakeholders.
- Assist pre-sales activities by evaluating feasibility and estimating effort for assigned opportunities.
- Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of AI products and internal AI capabilities.
What We Require from You
- Background as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role.
- Experience with AI, software, or data-driven products.
- Solid knowledge of AI/ML, Generative AI, LLMs, and AI-powered applications.
- Experience leading coordination across technical or cross-functional teams.
- Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum product-development practices.
- Familiarity with backlog management, user stories, and prioritization.
- Strong abilities in stakeholder engagement and requirements management.
- Experience taking end-to-end delivery responsibility in a client-facing capacity, including requirements sessions, UAT, acceptance, and change requests.
- Ability to connect business needs with technical teams.
- Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Strong communication and organizational capabilities.
- A proactive mindset, with clear ownership and leadership skills.
- Excellent English; German is a strong advantage.
