Summary:

The Functional Analyst acts as the central connection between business stakeholders and the technical team. This position collects, evaluates, and converts business needs into functional specifications so that suitable, innovative solutions or process improvements address those needs. Its primary scope is the retail environment of Neptun Companies.

Detyrat

Main Responsibilities:

Partner closely with business teams—particularly retail operations, merchandising, e-commerce, and customer service—to capture and record requirements, processes, and workflows.
Convert business needs into comprehensive functional specifications and use cases.
Work alongside developers, system architects, and QA teams to ensure functional requirements are implemented correctly.
Take part in system-design workshops, solution assessments, and testing activities.
Recommend digital solutions and system redesigns using digital expertise and collected business requirements.
Review complete business processes across physical stores and online channels, then turn them into functional requirements for the supporting systems.
Define data exchanges among retail platforms including POS, ERP, e-commerce, and warehouse systems, clarifying data ownership and cross-channel data consistency.
Support user acceptance testing (UAT) through test-case preparation, test coordination, and validation of results throughout retail channels and processes.
Suggest upgrades to current systems and assist with deploying new systems, including new-store launches, POS implementations, and e-commerce releases.
Detect discrepancies between business expectations and existing system functionality, then recommend practical solutions.
Offer support after implementation and coordinate the resolution of issues.
Keep documentation current for functional procedures, requirements, and system settings.
Create manuals and documentation for newly introduced systems or functionalities.

Kualifikimet

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Informatics or Information Systems is required.
Outstanding written and spoken English communication abilities.
A high sense of urgency, together with a proactive, adaptable, resourceful, pragmatic, and solution-oriented approach.
Ability to solve problems by identifying several workable options for a challenge.
Solid business understanding of retail solutions, including POS, ERP, e-commerce platforms, WMS, PIM, and CRM/Loyalty, among others.
Strong functional knowledge and expertise with the systems listed above.
Experience in technology companies and consulting is highly appreciated, while retail-sector experience is a considerable advantage.
Good familiarity with parametrization tools, troubleshooting tools, configuration-management tools, automated testing, and similar solutions.
Good command of issue-tracking systems such as Zoho, Jira, Freshdesk, and others.
Very strong proficiency with the Microsoft Office package and Visio.

Relationships and interactions include all Neptun Companies, external third parties, and Consulting or Service Companies, among others.
