Short description:
- The successful candidate will play a key role in driving attendance across our portfolio of events by researching relevant audiences, managing target lists, and using phone and email outreach to register qualified delegates.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Researching and approaching potential delegates by telephone and email with the aim of securing registrations for our events
- Identifying and qualifying senior decision-makers across relevant sectors, including IT, cyber security, digital, and other B2B industries
- Managing, filtering, and updating delegate campaign lists tailored to each event
- Working towards delegate registration targets and helping ensure sponsor attendance requirements are met
- Speaking confidently with senior professionals and clearly communicating the value of each event
- Handling delegate queries in a professional and timely manner
- Updating the CRM daily and maintaining accurate records of outreach, responses, and registrations
- Reporting to the Team Leader and reviewing weekly activity, progress, and targets
- Supporting multiple live event campaigns at the same time while maintaining quality, pace, and accuracy
Required skills and experience:
- Excellent English language and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ideally 1-2 years of experience in delegate recruitment, event delegate acquisition, B2B telesales, or a similar target-driven outreach role
- Previous experience across IT, cyber security, technology, or other relevant B2B sectors is strongly preferred
- Confidence and comfort with cold calling and high-volume outreach by phone and email
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Strong critical thinking and judgement when identifying and qualifying relevant delegates
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
- Ability to manage multiple events and deadlines simultaneously
- Comfortable working under pressure and adapting to changing priorities
- Professional, confident, and credible communication style
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when managing CRM and campaign data
- Ability to work independently, use initiative, and remain proactive
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and CRM systems
- A resilient, organized, and results-oriented mindset
Ideal candidate profile:
- Prior experience in delegate recruitment or attendee acquisition for B2B events and an understanding of how to engage senior-level professionals, qualify relevance, and convert outreach into event registrations. Organised, commercially aware, and comfortable balancing speed, quality, and targets across multiple campaigns.
