Accounts Payable Accountant
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle and examine Accounts Payable invoices, making sure coding is correct, approvals are completed, and payments are made on time.
- Maintain and post accruals for missing invoices and recurring costs so that financial records remain complete.
- Carry out monthly reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and vendors in order to keep balances accurate and current.
- Contribute to the month-end closing process by preparing journal entries and confirming that all AP and accrual-related transactions are recorded.
- Assist during internal and external audits by supplying supporting documents and reconciliation materials when required.
- Work closely with the finance team to improve processes and to maintain adherence to company policies and accounting standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 3+ years of experience in accounting or in a comparable position.
- Good command of accounting software’s and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Solid knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax laws.
- Strong attention to detail, good organizational ability, and skill in setting task priorities.
- Very good communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
