Accounts Payable Accountant
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle and examine Accounts Payable invoices, making sure coding is correct, approvals are in place, and payments are completed on time.
- Register and oversee accruals for missing invoices and recurring costs so that financial records remain complete.
- Carry out monthly reconciliations for banks, credit cards, and vendors to keep balances accurate and current.
- Contribute to the month-end closing process by preparing journal entries and ensuring all AP and accrual-related transactions are recorded.
- Provide support during internal and external audits by supplying the necessary documentation and account reconciliations.
- Work closely with the finance team to improve processes and maintain compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- At least 3+ years of experience in Accounting or in a comparable position.
- Good command of accounting software’s and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax laws.
- High level of accuracy, strong organizational ability, and skill in prioritizing tasks.
- Very good communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
