Senior Officer - Projects Management Department
- Oversee the IT demand pipeline and the portfolio of projects initiated by business units or the financial technology department.
Responsibilities
- Maintain collaboration with the assigned business departments and support the demand management process in close coordination with business groups and the departments within the Financial Technology group.
- Contribute to project scoping and support the definition of effort, timelines, costs, resources, risks, and expected benefits through effective planning and continuous stakeholder involvement.
- Organize and lead workshops to clarify requirements and further define project scope when needed.
- Work in close partnership with the business lead and offer professional guidance adapted to the specific context of each project.
- Examine technical and security specifications, along with other relevant project documents, to support management, governance, and effective project delivery.
- Take ownership of portfolio management activities by tracking progress against project plans, evaluating and reducing risks, assessing the impact of interdependent projects, and applying corrective measures where required.
- Ensure projects are implemented successfully and transitioned effectively into business-as-usual operations, including the completion of all necessary post-implementation tasks.
- Deliver ongoing monitoring, periodic reporting, and project communication as required.
- Support both technical and business-related changes through coordination and active engagement of all project stakeholders.
- Make sure the relevant business area and all other affected units are consulted and engaged regarding changes that affect them, and that change activities are coordinated efficiently to achieve the expected results.
- Manage cooperation with external partners and third-party suppliers when applicable.
- This can also involve drafting tender documentation and reviewing contracts in line with the company’s procurement guidelines.
- Monitor contracts and ensure that suppliers comply with the agreed terms and conditions.
- Take initiative in improving IT Governance processes.
- Perform any other duties connected to the role and grade when requested by management.
Qualifications
- University degree in an IT-related field is required; specialization in other areas and interdisciplinary skills are considered an added value.
- At least 3 years of experience in IT project management positions, including experience in a Project Manager role or within another IT functional role.
- Strong knowledge of recognized Project Management standards.
- Experience with Agile Project Management practices is considered an advantage.
- Project Management certification is considered an advantage.
- Experience in the Banking Business is preferred.
- Familiarity with Project Management tools such as JIRA, Microsoft Project, and similar tools.
- Ability to motivate teams under tight deadlines and manage several projects at the same time.
- Ability to take part in and facilitate group meetings.
- Very good command of English, both spoken and written.
- Honest, reliable, and trustworthy character.
