About the role
- Supports financial operations related to interconnection services with telecommunications operators
- Covers end-to-end accounting across accounts receivable, accounts payable and general ledger, including billing, reconciliations, month-end close and financial reporting
- Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders across multiple markets, contributes to process improvements and supports compliance activities
What you will do
- Manage end-to-end accounting activities for interconnection services, including billing, collections, payments, reconciliations and financial clearing
- Validate traffic and billing data to ensure accurate invoice creation, processing and dispute resolution
- Process incoming and outgoing payments, netting activities and account allocations within agreed timelines and controls
- Execute month-end close activities, including accruals, reclassifications, bad debt analysis and balance sheet reconciliations
- Monitor outstanding balances and lead collection activities to reduce aged receivables
- Prepare financial reports, analyses and presentations for internal stakeholders, auditors and business partners
- Support compliance activities, including SOX controls, audit requests and financial governance
- Maintain and administer real estate lease contracts, including creation, updates, monitoring, renewals and terminations
- Collaborate with teams across international locations to resolve operational and financial queries
- Participate in system enhancements, testing and process improvement initiatives
- Support master data management and ensure accurate financial records
Who you are
- Experience in finance, accounting or shared services, ideally in telecommunications or a related industry
- Strong understanding of accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger processes and financial reporting
- Experience with SAP and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Knowledge of databases, reporting tools or Power BI is an advantage
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
- Customer-focused mindset with a collaborative approach
- Fluent spoken and written Italian and intermediate English
- Flexibility to work in a hybrid or remote environment
