Team Lead, Software Engineering — Rozafa Consulting

Rozafa Consulting is growing fast, and we're looking for a Team Lead who can own complex projects technically, write code daily, and guide a small team to deliver high-performance, scalable products.

What You'll Do

Lead end-to-end technical builds from zero
Design system architecture for real-time, high-throughput, high-availability requirements
Write production code daily alongside your team
Make key technical decisions on infrastructure, data modeling, and integrations
Lead and mentor a team of engineers, running code reviews and setting standards
Coordinate with product, design, and client stakeholders
Leverage AI coding assistants to accelerate development without compromising quality
Deploy and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS
Ensure performance, security, and reliability across the platform

Requirements

7+ years of experience in software development
Strong command of Node.js, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript
Deep experience with React, Next.js, and building SPAs
Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and data modeling at scale
Hands-on AWS experience, including deployment and infrastructure management
Proven ability to design systems that handle real-time data, high concurrency, and low-latency requirements
Practical experience using AI coding assistants as part of a daily workflow
Familiarity with integrating LLM APIs into production applications is a strong plus
Experience leading or mentoring other engineers
Strong debugging, problem-solving, and architectural thinking
Comfortable taking full ownership of a project and making decisions independently
Good communication skills — you'll interface with clients directly
Prior experience in sports betting, iGaming, or real-time high-volume platforms is a strong plus
