Profile: The team is seeking a professional, adaptable, and self-assured IT System Administrator.
Job Purpose
This position is responsible for developing and maintaining modern, effective computer systems and networks that strengthen the sustainable use of technology throughout the business.
Main duties
Core responsibilities:
- Provide first- and second-level assistance for clients and servers.
- Manage client devices, servers, and the network infrastructure.
- Install software on PCs, notebooks, and servers.
- Configure and roll out network systems.
- Take overall ownership of IT administration.
- Administer Unix / Linux and Windows servers.
- Organize and manage the full network topology, including router, switch, VLAN, and VPN configurations.
- Calculate costs and procure new hardware.
- Share responsibility for system migrations and IT transition processes.
- Manage internal correspondence.
- Remain reachable by mobile phone throughout working hours.
- Ensure rigorous adherence to GDPR requirements and continuous oversight; independently follow market standards, legal changes, and regulatory obligations, while regularly reporting and coordinating with direct line managers.
- Continually improve user software applications, monitor current market practices, and submit recommendations to senior management.
- Continuously enhance all hardware systems across the organization.
- Jointly coordinate and carry out routine maintenance for the hotel's complete video-surveillance (CCTV) system.
- Maintain reliable Wi-Fi coverage throughout the premises for both hotel operations and guests.
- Manage mobile-phone hardware, including ongoing price negotiations and prompt replacement or upgrade cycles.
- Technically supervise and continuously improve every company system interface.
Qualifications
Required qualifications and competencies:
- Completed vocational IT training or a technical degree, such as IT Systems Specialist, Systems Administrator, or an equivalent qualification.
- Practical knowledge of operating systems (Microsoft, Linux) and office software suites.
- Preferably, familiarity with hospitality-management platforms, such as Fidelio / Opera / Honeywell.
- Strong independence, perseverance, and initiative in resolving complex or unusual technical issues.
- A flexible approach and a strong willingness to learn.
