Description
Pompay Group LLC is a U.S.-based company delivering accounting and cash-cycle management services to U.S. start-ups and small businesses, and is recruiting for its Albania office.
The team seeks a dependable, meticulous, and well-organized Accounting Specialist. This person will keep financial records correct, handle routine accounting activity, and assist with clients’ financial reporting.
The ideal candidate is confident with numbers, highly attentive to detail, and able to handle financial data accurately and discreetly.
Responsibilities
- Keep bookkeeping accounts and financial records accurate and current.
- Enter everyday financial activity, including sales, purchases, expenses, receipts, and payments.
- Oversee payable and receivable accounts.
- Create and process invoices.
- Support the preparation of monthly and annual financial reports.
- Keep invoices, receipts, contracts, and other financial documentation properly organized.
- Provide support with payroll bookkeeping and expense reports when needed.
- Detect and quickly address discrepancies or irregularities in financial documentation.
- Ensure financial documentation follows relevant accounting standards and company procedures.
- Protect the confidentiality of company and financial data at all times.
- Carry out additional accounting or administrative tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Ideally, at least 1-2 years of financial accounting experience, together with a solid grasp of accounting principles and practices.
- Strong Excel skills; practical experience using an accounting platform is an advantage.
- Excellent organizational ability and close attention to detail.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Capacity to manage several responsibilities and complete them within deadlines.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaborate productively with the broader team.
- A high degree of integrity and discretion in dealing with confidential financial information.
