Job summary:
- Responsible for supporting and maintaining electronic card acceptance machines (EFT/POS), cash dispense machines (ATMs), queuing systems, cash management machines and related equipment through field visits and laboratory repairs.
- Perform troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance, and provide product and operation training to supervisors and operators.
Field and lab activities:
- Field activities include field visits correlated with installation or maintenance activities such as troubleshooting and repairs, replacing specific spare parts (upon specific training).
- Lab repairs include laboratory correction activities to electronic or mechanical components (upon specific training).
Key responsibilities:
- Handle on-call requests for the repair of equipment due to malfunction or failure.
- Troubleshoot and repair electronic systems and subsystems within lab environment and determine when assigned equipment is unrepairable.
- Troubleshoot computer hardware problems and update software configurations from written instructions or with guidance from support personnel.
- Serve as the subject matter expert in the operation, capabilities and support of assigned electronic equipment and provide product and operation training to supervisors and operators.
- Follow maintenance procedures and ensure that parts and tools needed to support and facilitate repairs are readily available.
- Make recommendations to supervisors on ways to eliminate or ease field maintenance or operational problems.
Education/Experience:
- Expert in operation and support of electronic equipment.
- Understand usage of the digital multimeter and has know-how of soldering irons.
- Communicate effectively with peers, supervisors, operators and customers.
- Availability to work where Mellon Albania operates or to travel abroad for training purposes.
- University Degree in Engineering; Mechanical Engineering is of first preference, including electronics or relevant technical skills.
- At least 3 years work experience in conducting mechanical/technical work and repair and maintenance of equipment including electronic systems.
- English proficiency in reading, speaking and writing.
- Must have a driving license and maintain a clean driving record for purposes of insurability.
