Junior Data Engineering Academy – Databricks

Are you a recent graduate passionate about data, technology, and cloud solutions?

Lutech Balkans is looking for motivated recent graduates and junior profiles to join our upcoming Data Engineering & Databricks Academy.

The Academy is designed to provide participants with structured technical training and hands-on experience in modern Data Engineering technologies, with the opportunity to start a professional career within an international technology environment.

Who we are looking for:

We are mainly looking for recent graduates or candidates at the beginning of their professional career with a degree in areas such as:

• Computer Science
• Computer Engineering
• Automation Engineering
• Data Science
• Mathematics
• Statistics
• Physics
• or other related STEM fields

Technical background:

Previous professional experience is not required.

Basic academic or personal-project knowledge in some of the following areas would be considered an advantage:

Python

• Basic programming concepts
• Variables and data structures
• Functions
• File handling
• Python libraries
• Jupyter Notebooks

SQL

• SELECT queries
• JOINs
• GROUP BY / HAVING
• CTEs
• Basic understanding of Window Functions

Data Engineering fundamentals

• ETL / ELT concepts
• Data Warehouses and Data Lakes
• Data pipelines
• Data Quality
• Batch vs. Streaming processing

Cloud fundamentals

Basic familiarity with one of the main cloud platforms is appreciated:

• Microsoft Azure, preferably
• AWS
• Google Cloud Platform

Git & Collaborative Development

Basic knowledge of:

• Git
• Branches
• Pull Requests
• GitHub or Azure DevOps repositories

Languages

• English: good working knowledge
• Italian: considered an advantage, but not mandatory
