We are seeking a Product Manager for our Consumer Department. The successful candidate will oversee an IT product portfolio and coordinate effectively with suppliers, internal teams, and the market. Strong analytical abilities, sound knowledge of IT products, and the capacity to maintain supplier relationships while contributing to business growth are essential to this role.
Essential Qualifications
- A bachelor’s qualification in IT, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline.
- 2–4 years of relevant experience as a Product Manager, Category Manager, or in comparable roles in the IT, electronics, or retail industry.
- Thorough familiarity with networking and power supply products, such as routers, switches, access points, UPS systems, inverters, and associated accessories.
- An understanding of important technical specifications, including network speeds, connectivity standards, PoE, power capacity, battery backup time, and power efficiency.
- Familiarity with managing product portfolios, analyzing sales, and planning stock.
- Well-developed abilities in analysis, communication, negotiation, and organization.
- The ability to communicate effectively in English, both in writing and verbally.
- Competence in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience using BI tools is an advantage.
Main Duties
- Keep knowledge of the assigned portfolio’s products and technologies current.
- Oversee product ordering and proactively follow the progress of supplier deliveries.
- Liaise with suppliers and negotiate prices, promotions, and commercial conditions.
- Assess market developments and competing products to uncover opportunities and areas for improvement.
- Track and control stock levels to maintain optimal inventory availability.
- Evaluate sales results and determine opportunities to grow the category.
- Collaborate closely with the sales team on product positioning and promotional initiatives.
