Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission and the direct supervision of the Programme Coordinator (Community Stabilisation Programme), and in close coordination with relevant governmental counterparts, municipal authorities, civil society organizations, and other stakeholders, the Project Associate – Field Coordination will be responsible for supporting the implementation and field-level coordination of the EU for Communities programme within the assigned Area of Responsibility (AoR).

Responsibilities

Coordinate and monitor field activities within the assigned AoR ensuring alignment with project objectives, workplans, donor requirements, and IOM standards.

Support the implementation and follow-up of community stabilization activities, including field visits, beneficiary support, and community-based interventions.

Identify implementation challenges, operational risks, and emerging community needs, and bring them to the attention of the supervisor with recommendations for appropriate follow-up actions.

Serve as the field-level focal point for programme implementation within the AoR and maintain regular coordination with municipal authorities, community representatives, civil society organizations, and other stakeholders.

Conduct outreach activities, information sessions, mobile campaigns, and beneficiary consultations in targeted communities.

Respond to beneficiary enquiries and provide guidance on programme opportunities, eligibility criteria, application procedures, and required documentation.

Assist in assessing beneficiary needs and provide guidance to applicants in developing business concepts, project proposals, and community initiative ideas.

Assist in reviewing business and project proposals for feasibility, viability, relevance, and sustainability, and provide recommendations for consideration by the supervisor.

Support the delivery of business development, entrepreneurship, and capacity-building activities for beneficiaries and community members.

Assist in monitoring project progress, outputs, expenditures, and field-level implementation against approved plans, budgets, timelines, and expected results.

Assist in preparing regular reports, updates, statistical summaries, analytical inputs, and maintain accurate programme records, databases, correspondence, and filing systems.

Support procurement, financial monitoring, visibility and communication activities, including documentation of achievements, success stories, and lessons learned.
