About the Role

We are seeking an ambitious and commercially driven Business Development Director to lead our sales and business growth initiatives across Albania, Kosovo, and North Macedonia.

The successful candidate will be responsible for converting qualified opportunities into active customers, developing strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth across regional markets. This role requires a strong commercial mindset, exceptional negotiation skills, and the ability to lead and inspire a high-performing team.

As a key member of the SMS Retail Department, the Business Development Director will play a critical role in expanding the company's market presence and ensuring the achievement of strategic business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the company's business development strategy in alignment with growth objectives.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and market expansion initiatives.
• Manage the complete sales cycle, from qualified lead acquisition through contract execution.
• Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and strategic stakeholders.
• Conduct discovery meetings to understand customer needs, challenges, and business objectives.
• Present the company's products, services, and value proposition to prospective customers.
• Prepare and deliver commercial proposals, pricing models, and business presentations.
• Lead commercial negotiations and ensure mutually beneficial agreements.
• Monitor and manage the sales pipeline, forecasts, and revenue targets.
• Collaborate with internal departments, including Legal, Finance, Operations, Technical, and Compliance teams.
• Ensure a seamless handover of signed customers to the Customer Success team through a formal onboarding process.
• Lead, coach, and develop the Business Development team to achieve departmental objectives.
• Represent the company at conferences, industry events, and networking opportunities.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Business Development, Enterprise Sales, Strategic Partnerships, or a related commercial role.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience managing teams.
• Proven track record of achieving sales and revenue targets.
• Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills.
• Experience managing complex B2B sales cycles.
• Experience using CRM and sales pipeline management tools.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
