Role Description

The Operational Risk Analyst is a full-time, on-site role based in Tirana. This position is responsible for identifying, assessing, and monitoring operational risks across the institution’s processes and branches. Daily activities include analyzing risk data, reviewing internal controls, preparing risk reports, and supporting the implementation of risk mitigation measures. The role collaborates with business units to ensure adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements, recommends process improvements, and participates in risk assessments for new products and initiatives. The Operational Risk Analyst also supports training and awareness activities related to risk management and contributes to the continuous enhancement of the enterprise risk framework.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills and the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and evaluate operational processes.
• Candidates should possess solid knowledge of Regulatory Compliance and relevant financial sector regulations, with the ability to apply them to daily operations.
• Candidates should possess a good understanding of Finance, including financial products, basic accounting concepts, and risk-related financial indicators.
• Candidates should possess experience or familiarity with Enterprise Risk Management, including risk identification, assessment, monitoring, and reporting.
• Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present findings clearly in written and verbal form.
• Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Risk Management, or a related field are beneficial.
• Experience in banking or microfinance, knowledge of operational processes, and proficiency with Excel and risk management tools are advantageous.
• Attention to detail, ethical conduct, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work independently and as part of a team are important for success in this role.
