Description
The Export Sales Agent builds and oversees relationships with overseas customers, seeks business prospects in international markets, and works toward export revenue objectives.
This position liaises with foreign distributors, agents, and clients, while following export rules and internal company procedures.
Duties
Main Responsibilities
- Build and sustain connections with international clients, distributors, and commercial partners.
- Seek out and follow up on export opportunities within selected markets.
- Draft and deliver sales offers, price quotations, and contracts for overseas customers.
- Discuss commercial conditions and finalize sales contracts.
- Oversee the entire export-sales cycle, beginning with an inquiry and ending with delivery.
- Work with the logistics, production, and finance teams to make sure orders are completed on time.
- Track customer orders and resolve matters involving transport, paperwork, and payments.
- Take part in international trade fairs, exhibitions, and business gatherings.
- Research markets to recognize trends, competitor actions, and client requirements.
- Follow sales results and produce recurring export-sales reports.
- Ensure adherence to export legislation, customs obligations, and international trade rules.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, International Trade, Marketing, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Have at least 2-3 years of experience in export sales, international business development, or a comparable commercial position.
- Demonstrate solid knowledge of international trade procedures, Incoterms, and export paperwork.
- Have worked with distributors, importers, and overseas clients.
- English fluency is mandatory; other foreign-language skills are beneficial.
- Be prepared to travel abroad when necessary.
