ECOVIS Albania is adding a Senior Accountant to the team.

ECOVIS Albania is part of ECOVIS International, a multidisciplinary network of accountants, business and tax advisors, auditors and lawyers. We provide accounting, tax, payroll, financial and legal advisory services to businesses and non-profit organizations.

Senior Accountant (Albanian Residents Only)

This role suits an experienced accounting professional. You will manage client work independently, deliver high-quality compliance work and help develop our junior team members.

What you’ll do

• Manage accounting and tax compliance for a portfolio of local and international clients
• Prepare and review bookkeeping, VAT books, payroll inputs, withholding tax, reconciliations and monthly closings
• Prepare financial statements, tax returns and management reports
• Track client deadlines and make sure all filings are submitted on time
• Resolve routine accounting and tax queries, and escalate technical matters to Managers or Partners
• Build strong client relationships with clear, practical support
• Mentor and review the work of junior accountants and interns

What you bring

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field
• At least 3+ years in accounting, tax compliance or financial reporting (professional services experience is a plus)
• Strong knowledge of Albanian accounting, tax and payroll legislation
• Excellent English and very good Excel skills
• Experience with Financa5 or similar accounting software
• Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking and ability to manage multiple deadlines;
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a dynamic team.
