Key Responsibilities
- Manage container collections and deliveries involving ports, rail terminals, and warehouses.
- Maintain daily phone and email communication with US trucking firms, drivers, dispatchers, and customers.
- Arrange appointments at terminals and warehouses while monitoring container status live.
- Follow important deadlines, including last free day, per diem, and demurrage, to avoid additional expenses.
- Create, check, and maintain shipping documentation and system records.
- Address operational problems and delays promptly and professionally.
- Produce recurring reports covering shipments and daily activities.
Requirements
- Strong written and spoken English skills.
- Background in logistics, dispatch, or customer service; familiarity with the US market is highly beneficial.
- Excellent organizational ability and close attention to detail.
- Capacity to handle pressure while managing several tasks simultaneously.
- Solid computer proficiency, including MS Office or Google Workspace; TMS experience is an advantage.
- Dependability, accountability, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work an afternoon shift that corresponds with US business hours.
