The Embassy of Brazil in Tirana is holding a competition for 1 (one) Support Assistant serving as a COOK at the official residence of the Brazilian ambassador in Tirana. The opportunity is open exclusively to Brazilian citizens, Albanians, and legally resident foreign nationals, pursuant to Law 11.440 / 06, Decree 1.570/95, the regulation under Ministerial Ordinance of 12.09.95 / MRE, and the conditions set out in this notice.

Duties and Obligations
- The chosen Support Assistant will work as a COOK, carrying out duties associated with the role and, when needed, assisting at official receptions held at the residence, the chancery, or another venue designated for the event.

Requirements
Applicants are expected to meet these conditions:
- Be able to communicate, preferably in English, Portuguese, or Spanish.
- Provide evidence of enrolment in the local social-security system.
- Fluency in Portuguese, Spanish, or Italian will receive additional points.
- Non-Albanian applicants must hold legal residence in Albania and authorization to work.
- Have satisfactory criminal and police records.
- Demonstrate medical fitness through a medical certificate.
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Brazilian citizens must document their electoral status and compulsory military service (men only), and must not be employed in the Brazilian public service.

- Optional supporting documents: a cover letter, evidence of language proficiency, a school certificate, and any other relevant academic or professional qualifications.
Selection Process
Phase 1
Applicants meeting the document and information requirements will be pre-selected through a review of their submitted materials.
Phase 2
Candidates admitted through the earlier stages will attend an interview. Interviews will take place in English, Portuguese, or Spanish, according to each candidate's proficiency, and will assess their skills; candidates may also be asked to complete a practical demonstration.
Phase 3
The highest-ranked candidate will be invited to take the position. If that candidate withdraws, the remaining candidates will be contacted successively according to their ranking.
Validity
The competition outcome will be published on the website of the Embassy of Brazil in Tirana and will remain valid for 12 (twelve) months from the announcement date. Whenever a vacancy arises, selected candidates may be called based on their classification score.
Contract regime
- The employment agreement includes a 3-month probationary period and will be signed once the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs approves the competition result. It takes effect only after the conditions in paragraph 2, items d), e), f), and g), as well as item h) for Brazilian citizens, have been fulfilled.
- The successful applicant will be invited to assume the role. Upon acceptance, the contract will be signed on a date determined by the Brazilian Embassy in Tirana.
- The agreement will be subject to Albanian legislation and may not exceed 12 months, including the three-month probation period.
- The employee will receive a gross monthly salary of Lek 116,447.00 (one hundred and sixteen thousand four hundred forty-seven Albanian Leke).
- Mandatory contributions and taxes required under Albanian law will be deducted from the employee's gross pay by the Embassy.
- Working time is 40 hours per week.
