About the role
We're a fast-growing SaaS company building software for the dental-lab industry, and we're making our first engineering hires. You'd be joining a small team at an early, high-ownership moment — the kind of role where what you build genuinely shapes the product and how we work.
We're looking for a Full-Stack Engineer who's comfortable owning both sides of the house: the product code your users touch, and the infrastructure that keeps it running. You don't need to be the world's deepest expert in either, but you should enjoy moving between a React component and a Kubernetes manifest without flinching. You'll work directly with the founding technical lead, help set our engineering standards, and grow with the team as we scale.
What you'll do:
- Build and ship full-stack features across the Next.js/React front end and NestJS/Express back-end services
- Design and maintain PostgreSQL data models using Prisma across a multi-service architecture
- Own infrastructure work hands-on: deployments, scaling and reliability on AWS EKS (Kubernetes)
- Manage and improve the AWS setup (RDS, S3, Amplify, CloudFront) and CI/CD pipelines
- Build event-driven background jobs and integrate third-party services like Stripe
- Keep the platform healthy with observability tooling (New Relic, Sentry) and sensible monitoring
- Contribute to technical decisions, code reviews and the team's engineering standards
Our stack:
- TypeScript everywhere; Next.js/React on the front end, NestJS/Express microservices on the back end
- PostgreSQL with Prisma (shared-database, multi-service)
- AWS infrastructure: EKS/Kubernetes, RDS, S3, Amplify, CloudFront
- Docker, CI/CD, event-driven background jobs, Stripe for payments, and New Relic/Sentry for observability
What we're looking for:
- Able to work US Eastern Time (EST/EDT) business hours — roughly 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM in Tirana; please apply only if that schedule works long-term
- Strong full-stack experience with TypeScript, React/Next.js and Node.js (NestJS or Express)
- Hands-on experience running containerized applications on Kubernetes, ideally AWS EKS
- Solid working knowledge of AWS core services (RDS, S3 and related infrastructure)
- Comfort with relational databases (PostgreSQL) and an ORM like Prisma
- Experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines
- A builder's mindset — able to take an ambiguous problem and ship a thoughtful solution without detailed specs
- Clear communication and the self-direction that remote work requires
Nice to have:
- Experience with event-driven architectures or background job processing
- Stripe or other payments integration experience
- Familiarity with observability tooling (New Relic, Sentry) and production debugging
- Experience in an early-stage or fast-scaling startup environment
- Multi-service or microservices experience
