About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to join a growing technology team supporting an internally developed business operations platform. This is a long-term opportunity for a software engineer who enjoys maintaining and improving business-critical systems while working closely with technical and non-technical teams.
You will be responsible for platform maintenance, troubleshooting, system integrations, feature development, and ensuring the reliability of internal applications. You'll receive structured onboarding and work alongside an experienced engineering team before gradually taking ownership of day-to-day platform operations.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and support the company's internal software platform.
- Troubleshoot and resolve bugs, system issues, and technical support requests.
- Monitor and maintain integrations between internal systems and third-party applications.
- Develop new features and enhancements within the existing platform architecture.
- Build and maintain backend services using Python.
- Write, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries within PostgreSQL databases.
- Customize workflows and automate business processes using low-code platforms.
- Work with REST APIs, OAuth authentication, and webhooks to support system integrations.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for systems, workflows, and processes.
- Collaborate with both technical and non-technical teams to improve platform functionality.
- Participate in regular planning meetings and work through a structured ticketing system.
Requirements
- 4+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong experience with Python development.
- Solid knowledge of SQL and PostgreSQL.
- Experience working with REST APIs, OAuth, and webhooks.
- Comfortable learning and working with low-code platforms and workflow automation tools.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills (C1 level or equivalent).
- Reliable remote work setup with stable internet and backup options.
- Ability to overlap at least four hours with Eastern Time business hours.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with low-code application platforms.
- Familiarity with AI APIs or large language model integrations.
- Experience in real estate, fintech, or similar industries.
- Knowledge of modern frontend technologies and additional backend tools.
- Experience with cloud-based infrastructure and scheduled job automation.
