We are seeking to welcome a candidate in the Project Manager (Temporary Contract 6-months), Band 4T position to join our Digital Transformation Office reporting directly to the Head of Department.
A Project Manager leads and manages the end-to-end delivery of digital projects within the Lending domain, from initiation through implementation and release. This high-impact role involves overseeing digital solutions related to loan origination(personal,mortgage lending, consumer financing), credit assessment, customer-facing lending journeys etc.
Will engage with cross-functional teams including digital product development, engineering, business units, risk management, compliance, operations, and quality assurance to ensure the successful execution of lending-related initiatives. Using strong stakeholder management and communication skills, you will align project objectives with business priorities, regulatory requirements, and customer experience goals across the retail lending ecosystem.
Main Responsibilities:
- Serve as Project Manager for retail lending digital initiatives, including loan origination systems, credit decisioning platforms and digital customer facing lending journeys.
- Create and manage detailed project plans, ensuring timely and successful implementation of lending solutions.
- Establish and control project constraints and scope, managing the end-to-end delivery of retail lending digital products and services.
- Manage project scope, timelines, dependencies, budgets, and risks while maintaining compliance with regulatory and internal governance requirements.
- Take ownership of identifying, assessing, and resolving project risks and issues, ensuring their timely escalation and resolution.
- Align project objectives with strategic business goals related to retail lending growth, portfolio quality, customer experience, and operational efficiency.
- Facilitate coordination between technical teams and business owners to ensure business requirements are translated effectively into digital solutions.
- Provide executive-level reporting on project status, budget utilization, risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies.
- Monitor the progress of project team members across different functional areas and provide support to help them achieve delivery objectives.
- Responsible for tracking project budgets and overseeing invoice processing related to project activities.
- Promote and ensure the adoption of Agile principles and practices across project teams.
- Coach and mentor teams on Agile processes and best practices, fostering continuous improvement
- and Agile maturity.
- Define, implement, and enforce agile project management and delivery best practices.
- Manage communication and information-sharing processes across stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.
- Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, developers, QA teams, risk specialists, operations teams, and external vendors to define, plan, prioritize, and deliver lending solutions
Requirements
- University Degree in Computer Sciences/Business Informatics or related studies.
- 2+ years of experience as a project manager in a software development environment with a preference including experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc).
- Minimum 1+ years of experience as a Project Manager with exposure to lending related projects.
- Good understanding of payment technologies, card transaction flows, and regulatory requirements (PCI DSS, etc).
- Understanding of software development and associated technologies. You don’t need to have experience as a software developer, but you need to know enough to follow technical discussions and bridge communications between product managers and developers.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse functional groups and employees at all levels.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas clearly and effectively to teams and stakeholders.
- Well organized, highly motivated, process-driven, and results-oriented with the ability to prioritize and collaborate in a multi-tasking environment.
