Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role at LUFRA’s production facilities in Lushnjë. The Maintenance Manager leads the maintenance team and is responsible for keeping production, packaging and utility equipment running safely, efficiently and continuously.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, organize and supervise the maintenance team, assigning daily tasks and shifts
- Plan and carry out preventive maintenance schedules to reduce breakdowns
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic faults
- Maintain dairy processing equipment: pasteurizers, homogenizers, separators, CIP systems, filling and packaging lines
- Oversee utilities including refrigeration, steam boilers and compressed air
- Manage spare-parts inventory and coordinate with suppliers and external contractors
- Document all work in maintenance logs or systems
- Work closely with production and quality teams to minimize downtime
- Support equipment installation, upgrades and continuous improvement projects
- Ensure full compliance with safety, hygiene and food-safety standards (HACCP, GMP, ISO)
Qualifications
- Degree or technical education in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, industrial maintenance or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience, ideally in dairy, food or FMCG manufacturing
- At least 2 years in a team leader or supervisory role
- Solid knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems; experience with PLC-controlled machinery is an advantage
- Ability to read technical drawings, schematics and equipment manuals
- Good understanding of industrial safety protocols and food-safety requirements
- Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
- Availability for on-call support in case of urgent breakdowns
- Albanian; working knowledge of technical English is an advantage
