Company Description
Babble operates as a growth business centered on Customer Experience. As a trusted advisor for cloud-based technologies, the company helps businesses adopt solutions from leading global providers.
The company focuses on:
- Microsoft Modern Work
- Cybersecurity
- Contact Centre Technology
- Mobile Solutions
- Communications & Connectivity
Although Babble already serves thousands of customers, the business still sees significant room for growth. Many clients currently use only one or two of its technologies, which creates strong potential to expand adoption across its broader portfolio of market-leading solutions.
Job Description
Babble is seeking a Head of Content to take charge of its content operating system, including the central knowledge base behind all published material, the AI-enabled tools built on that foundation, and all outputs that rely on their accuracy.
The company’s content approach follows the They Ask, You Answer method, also known as the Endless Customer approach. This model focuses on responding clearly and honestly to the real and specific questions customers and prospects ask, instead of producing broad, generic marketing content. When executed well, this approach strengthens Babble’s position as a trusted adviser for the small and medium-sized businesses it serves, rather than simply another technology supplier.
Content is created with support from AI through this operating system, but strong editorial judgement remains essential to quality. This is especially important at both ends of the workflow: defining the brief and standards used by AI tools at the beginning, and then personally reviewing, correcting, and approving the final output. Acting as the human in the loop is a central responsibility of this position, not an occasional task.
At present, the content function includes one other team member. This role will work closely with that person on a daily basis and will serve as the final quality checkpoint for everything published under the Babble name.
Accountabilities and Deliverables:
- Take ownership of the company’s central knowledge base by maintaining clear and honest answers to the actual questions customers and prospects ask about cost, problems, comparisons, and standards of quality, while keeping that information accurate and up to date.
- Determine which subjects require deeper coverage and which need lighter treatment, giving priority to the products and topics most important to customers instead of treating all subjects the same way.
- Lead the daily use of AI-powered content tools by shaping the briefs and standards they work from, then personally reviewing and correcting their output before publication.
- Ensure that all published material is structured היט and easy to locate, both for people searching the website and for AI tools such as ChatGPT or Google’s AI answers.
- Make certain that every campaign and every content item, regardless of who created it, is based on the same accurate and approved information so that Babble presents a consistent message about each product.
- Use pricing details and product facts from Babble’s single source of truth instead of independently restating them within content.
- Collaborate each day with the other person in the content function, setting the shared standard for output while staying directly involved in the work rather than acting only in a supervisory capacity.
- Present content performance in straightforward terms that the CMO can use to take action.
Core Competencies:
- Ability to turn technical or fragmented information into a clear answer that customers would genuinely find useful to read.
- Strong editorial judgement, including the ability to prioritise effectively and explain or defend those decisions to stakeholders.
- Ease with acting as the human in the loop by providing clear direction at the start and consistently identifying and correcting errors made by AI at the end.
- A practical and well-organised mindset, with the ability to establish and follow a simple and consistent structure.
- Willingness to return work that does not meet the required standard, no matter who produced it.
- Strong discipline and close attention to detail.
- An owner-operator mentality, combining personal execution with responsibility for setting the quality bar for others.
- Confidence working with data by interpreting it and adjusting plans accordingly, rather than only reporting figures.
Key Performance Indicators
- The completeness and clarity with which real customer and prospect questions are answered.
- Whether Babble’s content is discoverable and cited by AI search tools such as ChatGPT or Google’s AI answers when users search for information.
- Growth in the number of people who choose to follow Babble’s content directly instead of requiring the company to compete for attention.
- How frequently internal sales and account teams choose to share the content with customers, as a practical sign that the material is trusted rather than simply produced.
Qualifications
- Strong experience in content or editorial work within a B2B setting, with proven ability to shape what a business communicates rather than only writing effectively.
- Familiarity with the They Ask, You Answer (Endless Customer) content approach is considered a significant advantage.
- Excellent and highly accurate written English is essential, as this position produces content that represents Babble publicly and written English standards will be closely evaluated.
- Experience using AI tools in a disciplined and consistent way to create genuinely high-quality, on-brand content rather than unchecked generic AI output. Experience with agentic AI is an advantage, though not mandatory, given how new the technology remains.
- Ability to work closely on a daily basis with one other person while maintaining a shared quality standard rather than operating independently.
- Experience ensuring consistency and quality across content created by several contributors.
- Confidence to uphold quality expectations and challenge stakeholders, including senior stakeholders, when content falls below the required standard.
