The company is currently recruiting for the Chief Accountant role, offering selected candidates the chance to join the team of its partners in Libya. This position creates an opportunity to contribute to important international projects and to gain meaningful experience in an international environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise accounting operations and keep the general ledger properly maintained.
- Compile financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Check daily income figures and match them with POS reports.
- Handle cash collections, bank deposits, and bank reconciliation tasks.
- Monitor both accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Assist with budgeting processes and financial analysis work.
- Keep the fixed asset register and depreciation documentation up to date.
- Make sure all work complies with Libyan tax regulations.
- Organize and support both internal and external audit processes.
- Guide, oversee, and develop the accounting team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of relevant professional experience.
- Strong spoken and written communication skills in English.
