The Opportunity
MoveSmart Rentals is hiring an experienced Account Manager to manage existing client relationships, retain dissatisfied clients, influence important decisions, sell relevant services, and keep multiple active files moving from beginning to completion.
MoveSmart operates in residential leasing, but direct real-estate experience is preferred—not required. Strong candidates from account management, consultative sales, customer success, client retention, or another service-based industry are encouraged to apply.
You will become the property owner’s main point of contact after they sign with MoveSmart. You will coordinate the leasing process, monitor listing performance, present applications and offers, recommend changes, and keep the owner informed through tenant move-in.
This is not a basic customer-service or administrative position. You will be responsible for both the client relationship and the commercial performance of your assigned files.
What You’ll Do
Manage multiple active client and leasing files
Keep property owners informed throughout the process
Confirm that each file is complete and ready to be listed
Coordinate listing requirements with the partner brokerage
Monitor inquiries, showings, feedback, applications, and offers
Identify why a property is not attracting interest or offers
Recommend pricing, marketing, presentation, or property-condition changes
Persuade owners to make reasonable price adjustments
Present qualified tenant offers and secure timely decisions
Retain dissatisfied owners who may be considering cancellation
Sell appropriate services that could improve a property’s leasing performance
Handle objections while maintaining the owner’s trust
Coordinate documents, deposits, keys, and move-in requirements
Communicate with owners, tenants, realtors, vendors, and internal teams
Verify payment and payout information before providing updates
Maintain accurate CRM notes, tasks, documents, and next steps
Escalate legal, payment, agreement, or high-risk concerns when required
What You’ll Need
Three or more years of experience in account management, consultative sales, client success, client retention, leasing, property management, portfolio management, or a similar client-facing role
Experience managing ongoing client relationships—not only completing one-time sales
Demonstrated ability to overcome objections and persuade clients to take action
Experience retaining dissatisfied clients or recovering relationships
Confidence recommending price changes, service improvements, or other actions clients may initially resist
Ability to use evidence, customer feedback, market information, and financial reasoning to influence decisions
Experience upselling relevant services or solutions
Ability to manage multiple clients, files, transactions, or opportunities simultaneously
Strong organization, follow-up, and deadline management
Experience using a structured CRM or workflow system
Excellent spoken and written English
Sound judgment when handling client concerns and escalations
Ability to work independently during Eastern Time business hours
