Job Overview

In the role of Accounts Payable Specialist, you will handle supplier invoices for TP with precision and within required deadlines. The position is centered on accurate invoice entry, upkeep of vendor accounts, and support for effective Procure-to-Pay operations.

You will cooperate closely with Purchasing, Accounting, and business stakeholders so that invoices are handled in line with company policies and payment terms. The role includes overseeing invoice approval flows, addressing discrepancies with vendors and internal teams, and ensuring payment runs are completed on time.

You will also record bank transactions and carry out reconciliations for bank accounts and corporate credit cards so that all payments and transactions are correctly shown in financial records.

Another part of the role is maintaining strong control over Accounts Payable administration and supporting accurate financial reporting through month-end closing activities. This includes reconciling supplier balances, bank accounts, and corporate credit cards, as well as identifying and resolving inconsistencies in a proactive manner.

You will further assist with optimizing and continuously improving Procure-to-Pay processes while helping ensure adherence to internal controls and financial policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle and record incoming supplier invoices accurately and within deadlines.
  • Track invoice approval workflows and follow up with the relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain vendor master data and keep supplier records accurate.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and address any differences.
  • Prepare and carry out payment runs according to agreed payment terms.
  • Record and assign bank transactions in the accounting system.
  • Perform bank reconciliations to confirm balances align with the general ledger.
  • Reconcile corporate credit card statements and ensure expenses are allocated correctly.
  • Assist with month-end closing tasks related to Accounts Payable and cash accounts.
  • Reply to vendor questions concerning invoices and payments.
  • Monitor outstanding items and ensure vendor balances are cleared promptly.
  • Support Procure-to-Pay activities and spot areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and financial controls.
  • Carry out ad hoc administrative and finance-related duties connected to Accounts Payable.
