Job Overview
In the role of Accountant within the Shared Services Center, the successful candidate will handle the preparation of financial reports and the upkeep of precise financial records used to monitor the organization's assets, liabilities, profits and losses, tax obligations, and other financial activities.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Oversee month-end closing and management reporting so they are completed accurately and on time.
- Compile and complete monthly and yearly financial statements.
- Administer accounting operations and processes, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), account reconciliations, and related duties.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to facilitate intercompany transactions and related activities.
- Contribute to forecasting and budgeting activities in accordance with corporate guidelines.
- Communicate and coordinate with external stakeholders such as auditors, tax advisors, corporate secretarial service providers, tax authorities, and government institutions whenever needed.
- Help maintain compliance with all financial reporting requirements, tax submissions, audits, procedures, and statutory obligations, both internal and external.
- Provide support in the introduction of new processes and financial systems when necessary.
Main Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a certified accountant qualification is considered an advantage.
- Solid working knowledge of IFRS.
- Strong grasp of taxation principles and tax compliance requirements.
- At least 3 years of professional experience in an auditing firm.
- Proactive mindset combined with a strong work ethic and dedication to high standards.
- Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
