Job Title: Sales Engineer
Reports To: Chief Sales Officer
Location: Prishtina, Kosovo
Effective Date: April 2026

ROLE DESCRIPTION

  • The Sales Engineer is responsible for technical solution delivery and customer relationship management across assigned accounts. This role combines deep expertise in optical access networks with pre-sales engineering and post-sales technical support.
  • You will support the full sales lifecycle—from solution design and product demonstrations to deployment and troubleshooting—while acting as a trusted technical advisor to customers and internal stakeholders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Integrate and validate xGPON/GPON platforms (OLTs, ONTs/ONUs, Optical Distribution Networks)
  • Support deployment and commissioning of fiber access solutions
  • Act as the primary technical advisor for assigned accounts
  • Drive technical evaluation during the sales process in collaboration with sales teams
  • Deliver product demonstrations, presentations, and workshops
  • Translate customer requirements into scalable network architectures
  • Collaborate with product, R&D, and engineering teams to ensure compliance with ITU-T standards (G.984, G.987, G.9807.1)
  • Troubleshoot optical network issues (signal loss, attenuation, provisioning, interoperability)
  • Conduct lab and field testing, including optical power measurements
  • Support RFIs/RFPs, tenders, and technical documentation preparation
  • Represent products at customer meetings, conferences, and industry events
  • Maintain strong customer relationships across technical, operational, and commercial teams
  • Provide regular reporting and updates to management
  • Work closely with sales teams to position solutions competitively

Customer & Internal Collaboration

Customer Engagement:

  • Build and maintain relationships with decision makers, technical evaluators, and procurement teams

Internal Collaboration:

  • Partner with sales, product, R&D, project management, engineering, and support teams

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, or related field
  • 3–5 years of experience in telecom, broadband, or fiber access industry
  • Strong knowledge of GPON/xGPON technologies and fiber access networks
  • Hands-on experience with OLT/ONT configuration, provisioning, and troubleshooting
  • Understanding of optical transmission principles (attenuation, dispersion, optical budgets)
  • Familiarity with ITU-T PON standards
  • Experience with optical tools (OTDR, optical power meter, light source)
  • Strong communication and presentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to respond to RFIs/RFPs and produce technical documentation
  • Independent, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Willingness to travel frequently; valid driving license

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with XGS-PON, NG-PON2, or GPON migration strategies
  • Background in telecom vendors, ISPs, or system integrators
  • Knowledge of networking protocols (VLAN, QoS, IP, TR-069, OMCI)
  • Certifications (e.g., CCNA, Linux Administration)
  • Experience in pre-sales or customer-facing engineering roles
  • Familiarity with network design and documentation tools
