StarLabs is seeking a Java Backend Developer to become part of its expanding engineering team on a full-time basis.
This role is well suited to someone who likes creating dependable, scalable, cloud-native backend systems. The person in this position will work in close coordination with architects, frontend developers, and product stakeholders to design, implement, and support modern backend services built around microservices architecture.

- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a backend development position.

Technical skills
- Strong background in Java.
- Experience with Spring Boot or comparable backend frameworks.
- Practical knowledge of SQL and relational database systems.
- Experience working with Git.
- Understanding of REST APIs and the design of backend services.
- Familiarity with microservices architecture.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, cloud platforms, or SaaS products is considered an advantage.
- Exposure to technologies such as Kotlin, Micronaut, JOOQ, Protobuf, Gradle, Google Cloud, Kubernetes, or event-driven systems is considered a plus.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
