Position Summary

Spaxel is seeking a mid-level Data Engineer who will support the organization, automation, and structuring of company data so it can be used effectively by AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, and other internal systems. The role centers on automating data intake and consolidation from multiple systems, cleaning and standardizing that information, and establishing a dependable data foundation for application engineers and business teams to build practical AI-enabled workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and support automated data pipelines that pull information from various systems and sources.
• Combine data from multiple platforms into a single, practical data layer.
• Prepare, organize, and standardize data to ensure it is dependable and easy to work with.
• Arrange data in formats that improve access for AI tools and internal applications.
• Contribute to building data models, documentation, and foundational governance practices.
• Oversee data quality and resolve cases where information is incomplete, inconsistent, or incorrect.
• Collaborate with business teams to understand their data requirements and the ways their information is used.
• Work closely with application engineers who are developing AI tools based on the company’s data.

Qualifications & Skills

• English communication skills in both written and spoken form are mandatory, with proficiency at C1 or C2 level.
• 3–6 years of experience in data engineering or in a similar position.
• Strong knowledge of SQL.
• Experience with Python and automated data pipelines.
• Background working with databases, APIs, and cloud data platforms.
• Solid understanding of data ingestion, aggregation, data modeling, data quality, and system integration.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, with careful attention to detail.
• Ability to collaborate across technical teams and business departments.

Preferred / Nice to Have

• Experience preparing data for AI, search, or automation-related use cases.
• Familiarity with tools such as Airflow, dbt, Snowflake, BigQuery, or similar platforms.
• Experience handling semi-structured or unstructured data.
