• As an Accounting and Tax Senior, you will support engagement managers and partners throughout assignments, coordinate and guide junior team members, review accounting records and financial statements, and ensure compliance with Albanian tax legislation and applicable accounting standards. You will prepare tax returns and financial statements, analyze financial and tax data to identify risks and opportunities, and build strong professional relationships with clients.

Responsibilities:

• Support the Engagement Manager or Partner throughout assignments, from planning to completion, including coordination of workstreams, review of deliverables, and ensuring timely and high-quality execution.
• Coordinate and guide junior team members, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality output.
• Review and analyze accounting records and financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with Albanian tax legislation and applicable accounting standards.
• Prepare and review tax returns, tax calculations, and related filings.
• Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with NAS and IFRS.
• Analyze financial and tax data to identify risks, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
• Recommend enhancements to accounting systems, processes, and tax compliance procedures.
• Prepare tax memos, financial reports, and other client deliverables.
• Liaise with clients and, when needed, support communication with tax authorities.
• Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with client personnel.

Qualifications:

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics.
• At least 4 years of experience in accounting and tax, preferably gained within an international firm or professional services environment, with exposure to international standards and diverse client portfolios.
• Strong understanding of accounting practices and procedures, including financial reporting under NAS and IFRS.
• Solid knowledge of Albanian tax regulations, including VAT, corporate income tax, and personal income tax.
• Advanced English language skills.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office package.
• Advanced knowledge of accounting software.
• ACCA certification or pursuing ACCA studies would be considered an advantage.
