Job Description:

• We are partnering with a U.S.-based company, and we’re looking for a Financial Operations Lead to join a fully remote team.
• In this role, you will take ownership of core financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across processes. You’ll work closely with leadership and clients to deliver clear financial reporting and actionable insights, while contributing to the improvement of financial systems and workflows. Key Responsibilities:

Financial Operations & Reporting:

• Lead month-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, with a strong focus on compliance (including ASC 606)
• Establish and maintain accounting policies in line with U.S. GAAP standards
• Partner with clients and internal stakeholders to deliver clear, actionable financial insights
• Translate financial data into meaningful insights to support decision-making
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes

Process Management & Optimization:

• Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable processes to ensure timely collections and payments
• Maintain and improve financial systems, processes, and workflows
• Support both internal financial operations and client-facing financial activities

Required & Preferred Skills:

• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and experience with ASC 606
• Proven experience managing month-end close processes
• Experience with accounting tools such as QuickBooks Online (QBO), Gusto, Stripe, and Mercury
• Familiarity with FP&A tools such as Datarails, LiveFlow, Causal, Abacum, or Pigment
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating with cross-functional teams
• Strong communication skills, with experience working directly with clients

Nice to Have:

• Experience in consulting or agency environments
• Experience in client-facing roles, presenting financial insights and managing stakeholder communication
• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills (including complex formulas and pivot tables)
