Description:

  • Senior Network Engineer provides and executes configurations related to Networking and Switching for secure and efficient data communication. Responsible for installation, configuration, maintenance (updating) and monitoring of all active network equipment and security in order to ensure the proper and safe operation of the network within the company and to the customer as needed.

Qualifications and skills required:

  • Proven experience of at least 3-5 years in the role of network administrator
  • Excellent knowledge of best practices regarding management, configuration, control and monitoring of network infrastructure and security
  • Experience with router, switch, firewall, etc. implementation of various MPLS, BGP, VPN, VRF configurations and network and security troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with software and backup methodologies for business continuity and recovery (Disaster Recovery).
  • Evidence of training and continuous work in networks such as: Router, Switch, Firewall, VPN, VoIP, etc.
  • BSc Degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
  • Certified at least CCNP / JNCIP, or similar will have precedence.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Full support, configuration, maintenance and improvement of the internal network and business clients;
  • To provide support in the realization of the design and integration of services by providing appropriate solutions that meet the needs of customers;
  • To perform the Consultative services under the directives of the Technical Leader and to have the role of the key Technical Mediator for the client in order to provide technical support and assistance, as long as he is contracted by certain clients, working in the right way to overcome day-to-day implementation issues;
  • Must report to the Project Manager and Technical Leader regarding the level of employment status, dates met, issues identified as well as progress achieved in meeting the intended purpose as well as teaching and advising engineers others with less experience;
  • Necessary updates and at the request of the manager for the company and for the clients;
  • Ensuring network and connection security through the advanced technology available to the company (be willing to learn about existing and new products on demand);
  • Solve problems reported by the end user, whether internal or company customer;
  • Researches and provides recommendations for network administration and best practices to user demand;
  • Be creative, diligent and able to work in a team;
  • Assists in planning for network installations and configurations based on customer requirements and technical specifications and company;
  • Records and records all requests, issues and problems and their solution in the Help Desk ticketing system;
  • Interacts with clients and internal staff to resolve key issues raised in the help desk;
  • Performs other duties as required.
