Pre-Commissioning Manager

We are currently looking for a Pre-Commissioning Manager to join our project in Albania. The role is site-based and will be responsible for the overall planning, coordination and execution of pre-commissioning activities, ensuring alignment with project requirements, technical standards and client expectations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Define and implement the Pre-Commissioning strategy and execution plan, including procedures and method statements for Client approval
• Lead and coordinate all pre-commissioning activities by system and subsystem, ensuring readiness for Mechanical Completion and handover
• Manage resources, tools and subcontractors, overseeing execution and ensuring compliance with project specifications and timelines
• Supervise testing and validation activities, including functional testing of equipment, piping systems and instrumentation
• Monitor progress, punch lists and close-out activities, ensuring timely completion and proper turnover to commissioning
• Interface with Client and stakeholders, including site walkthroughs and validation of procedures (SIMOPS, permits, partial handover)
• Ensure proper documentation and preparation of Mechanical Completion dossiers, maintaining full traceability of tests, inspections and activities

Requisiti:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent technical background)
• 10+ years of experience in Pre-Commissioning roles, including managerial responsibility, within gas plants, compressor stations or similar facilities
• Proven experience in EPC projects and completion/turnover processes
• Strong knowledge of piping systems and pre-commissioning activities (flushing, hydrotesting, leak testing, etc.)
• Solid understanding of instrumentation and electrical systems, including field instruments and control systems
• Good knowledge of international codes and standards (e.g. ASME B31.3, PED, DVGW)
• Strong organisational, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills
• Fluency in English (minimum B2 level).
• Knowledge of Albanian and/or Italian is considered a plus.
