System Engineer

Job Summary:

• The System Engineer will design, implement, maintain, and optimize enterprise IT infrastructures. The role involves architecture contribution, migrations, performance optimization, advanced troubleshooting (L2/L3), and technical ownership of solutions while working directly with clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise IT infrastructure solutions
• Conduct system migrations, upgrades, and infrastructure deployments with proper risk assessment
• Manage virtualization platforms and server environments
• Contribute to infrastructure architecture and solution design
• Translate business and client requirements into technical solutions
• Monitor system performance and ensure scalability, availability, and security
• Diagnose and resolve complex hardware and software issues with minimal downtime
• Act as escalation point for Level 2 and Level 3 technical support
• Collaborate directly with clients during incidents and infrastructure changes
• Work with vendors and manufacturers for advanced issue resolution
• Maintain accurate system documentation and technical procedures

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Minimum 3+ years of experience as a System Engineer / Systems Administrator

Strong knowledge of:

• Virtualization (VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V)
• Windows Server
• Active Directory & Group Policy
• Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls)
• Backup solutions (e.g., Veeam or similar)
• Storage systems (SAN/NAS)
• Experience with system migrations, infrastructure upgrades, and high-availability environments
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Valid driver’s license

Nice to Have (Preferred):

• Experience with Microsoft 365 / Azure (hybrid environments preferred)
• Experience with cybersecurity solutions and hardening practices; knowledge of Linux environments
• Experience with Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity solutions
• Industry certifications (VMware VCP, Microsoft, Veeam, Cisco, etc.)
