Junior Cyber Security / Information Security Engineer

Job Summary:
- As a Junior Cyber Security / Information Security Engineer, you will start your career in cybersecurity, working with experienced professionals to help secure digital assets, implement cybersecurity solutions, and monitor for threats and vulnerabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the management and configuration of Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) platforms to monitor and analyze security events, endpoint protection systems, VPN solutions, and network access control systems
- Learn and assist in the management of Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) and Extended Detection and Response (XDR) solutions
- Support incident response efforts, including analyzing security incidents and implementing mitigation strategies
- Monitor network traffic, logs, and security alerts to detect and respond to potential security threats
- Assist in the management of identity and access management (IAM) solutions, ensuring proper authentication and authorization controls
- Contribute to access control policies and practices to safeguard sensitive data and resources
- Assist in the deployment and maintenance of endpoint protection solutions to safeguard devices from malware and threats
- Contribute to vulnerability scanning and management efforts to identify and remediate security vulnerabilities
- Maintain accurate documentation of security configurations, incident reports, and cybersecurity procedures
- Work closely with senior cybersecurity professionals and cross-functional teams to enhance overall security posture
Qualifications:
- Degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Technology, Engineering, or currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a similar IT or cybersecurity-related role
- A strong interest in cybersecurity with a basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts and principles
- Eagerness to learn and grow in the field of cybersecurity
- Familiarity with SIEM solutions, endpoint security tools, firewalls, and monitoring platforms is an advantage
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude toward security
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CEH) are advantageous but not required
- Fluent in English
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
- Willingness to travel abroad for integration assignments in EU countries
