Product Designer (UI/UX)

About us

We are a company based in Prishtina and operate as a subsidiary of Firma.ch AG in Zug, Switzerland. The business is in its early stage: the brand is already established, the strategy has been defined, and the product is currently under development.

The role

This will be the first design position in our team. In this role, you will shape the way Firma.ch appears, feels, and functions, taking responsibility from the initial wireframes through to the final released interface.

You will collaborate closely with our Tech Lead and the founder in Switzerland, working in a compact team where your choices can appear in the product within a matter of days.

What you will do

• Create the main product experience from start to finish, including the business directory, map search, company profiles, onboarding flow, and the dashboard businesses use to manage their listings
• Develop and look after the design system in Figma, including components, tokens, and documentation that engineers can use directly in implementation
• Translate the existing brand identity — Bricolage Grotesque, Manrope, warm ink and Albanian red — into a practical interface language
• Focus on mobile-first design, since most users will access the product by phone, often with limited connection quality
• Conduct simple user testing with real business owners and apply the insights gained to improve the design
• Assist marketing when necessary with landing pages, social media assets, and presentation materials

What we are looking for

Required

• At least 2 years of experience designing digital products for web and mobile, supported by a portfolio that demonstrates released work rather than concepts alone
• Strong expertise in Figma, including components, auto-layout, and prototyping
• Good grounding in layout, typography, and interaction design
• Understanding of responsive design and of the real constraints developers work within
• Fluency in Albanian and solid English skills
• Ability to clearly explain and justify design choices, including in situations where your decisions are challenged

Nice to have

• Background working on marketplaces, directories, or two-sided platforms
• Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS, or prior collaboration experience with front-end developers
• Experience creating interfaces centered on maps or intensive search functionality
• Skills in illustration or motion design
