You bring at least 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in an accounting or professional services firm, including work with year-end closing procedures.
You hold an Accounting Technician or higher qualification.
You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
You possess solid understanding of accounting standards.
Background in eCommerce or crypto accounting is considered a major advantage.
You are comfortable working with accounting software and other digital tools.
You have strong analytical and organizational abilities, with excellent attention to detail.
You approach work with a client-oriented mindset and can handle several priorities at the same time.
You are interested in technology and improving processes.
You are fluent in English; German is an important advantage.

About the Job

fbtq is a fully digital accounting firm focused on eCommerce and crypto clients. In the position of Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for managing client portfolios, supervising financial reporting, and improving accounting processes in a modern, technology-driven setting.

You will take end-to-end responsibility for financial statements throughout the full accounting cycle, including both preparation and review.
You will lead and carry out year-end closing processes.
You will oversee bookkeeping and financial reporting for a portfolio of clients, including eCommerce and crypto businesses.
You will register and evaluate crypto transactions and digital assets according to applicable standards.
You will assist and advise clients on accounting and tax matters, especially in relation to digital business models.
You will prepare and review tax filings for both individuals and companies.
You will guide and support junior accountants while maintaining quality and consistency in their work.
You will spot inefficiencies in processes and promote improvements through automation and stronger workflows.

Schedule: Full-time / 37.5 hours a week
