The Role

As a Senior Python Engineer at Cardo AI, you will play a key role in shaping our technology platform. Your expertise in Python will be instrumental in developing and maintaining high-performance systems, driving innovations that impact the way banks and investors interact with the private credit market. You will be part of a dynamic team, working collaboratively to deliver solutions that scale, perform, and push the envelope on what is possible in the fintech space.

What You Will Do

• Design and develop robust, scalable Python systems that power our core financial products and services.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, engineers, and data scientists to define, architect, and deliver new features and functionality.
• Ensure the highest quality of code by following best practices, writing tests, conducting code reviews, and driving improvements in the development lifecycle.
• Lead architectural decisions, helping guide the direction of our platform's infrastructure and services.
• Mentor junior engineers, providing technical guidance and sharing best practices to support their professional growth.
• Tackle complex problems and find creative solutions to ensure the reliability and scalability of our platform.
• Improve system performance and contribute to optimizing the efficiency of our platform for both speed and cost-effectiveness.

What You Bring

• Proven experience in Python development with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
• Hands-on experience with web frameworks such as Django, FastAPI, or Flask, and a solid understanding of RESTful API design and best practices.
• Strong understanding of SQL (Postgres) and NoSQL (Redis) databases, with a focus on performant queries and database optimization.
• Experience building scalable, performant systems, including cloud technologies (AWS preferred) and containerization (Docker).
• Deep familiarity with testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines to ensure high-quality, reliable software.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to break down complex challenges into manageable tasks.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Mentoring experience, helping junior developers grow their skills and improve their craft.
