Staff Machine Learning Engineer – Computer Vision (m/f/d)

Your Role:

• Take technical ownership of designing and scaling end-to-end computer vision solutions.
• Lead the development of production-grade AI systems, drive architectural decisions, and act as a bridge between engineering, product, and business teams.
• This is a hands-on leadership role, combining deep technical expertise with strategic thinking to shape AI-driven products and workflows.

Your Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and implementation of scalable computer vision and ML systems
• Own end-to-end ML lifecycle (data pipelines, training, evaluation, deployment)
• Define and drive architecture and best practices for ML solutions
• Guide and mentor ML engineers, ensuring high-quality technical delivery
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business needs into AI solutions
• Improve annotation workflows through AI-assisted automation and model innovation
• Drive model performance, scalability, and efficiency in production environments
• Communicate complex AI topics clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders

Your Profile:

• Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field (MS/PhD preferred)
• 5+ years of experience in machine learning, with strong exposure to production systems
• Proven experience in computer vision projects (end-to-end)
• Strong coding skills in Python, with production-level standards
• Hands-on experience with PyTorch and/or TensorFlow
• Deep understanding of ML techniques and real-world trade-offs
• Experience designing and deploying ML pipelines at scale
• Knowledge of LLMs / Generative AI (prompting, fine-tuning, RAG)
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Nice to Have:

• Experience with model optimization and performance tuning
• Familiarity with Golang
• Experience with SQL / data systems
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud environments
